The Central University Library (BUC) holds collections related to the Departments of Economics and Management, of Sociology, of Law, of Humanities.

Collection of Sociology: a particularly rich section, constantly growing since the Sixties, when the Istituto Superiore di Scienze Sociali (later to become the first Faculty of Sociology in Italy) was founded.
Collection of antique law books, and of printed music.
Books are arranged on the shelves according to Dewey Decimal Classification. There are twelve reading for more than 400 seats.
