The service allows Italian and foreign libraries to request monographs or reproductions of articles from the collection of the University Library System. Private users may not request the material directly, but are due to contact a library.

Delivery time and charges
The office sends the documents as soon as possible and in any case within 5 working days of receipt of the request. Book loans require a lump sum refund of 1 Lfla voucher (or 8 euros iin stamps), ; articles require a lump sum refund of ½ IFLA voucher (or 4 euros in stamps)unless otherwise indicated by the owner library; Document Delivery is free for libraries that are members of Nilde. The Office might enter into reciprocal agreements also with libraries which are not members of institutional consortia.
Duration of the loan and terms of supply
The loan, limited to works eligible for the ordinary loan, lasts one month and is renewable unless the document has been requested by another user in the meantime. The service is provided in compliance with copyright rules.
Libraries must return the book in the same state of preservation in which it was received and in due time, in accordance with the regulations of the service.
Opening hours
The opening hours of the National and International Interlibrary Loan Office, at the Central University Library (BUC), are as follows:
Monday and Friday from 9a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 9:00 to 16:30
The Interlibrary Loan and Document Delivery Service (generally known as ILL / DD) enables other libraries to obtain materials from the libraries of the University of Trento. Most items are available for a 30 days loan period with a possible extension.

Requests are generally processed within 3 days.
Charges
A fee of 1 Ifla voucher is charged for each request. Our University has special agreements for mutual exchange with some libraries. Service observes copyright legislation.
Material not available for loan
Material not available for loan:
- journals;
- reference material, such as encyclopedias, dictionaries, bibliographies amnd manuals;
- reserves for courses;
- items published before 1900;
- degree theses;
- microfilm and microfiches;
- material which requires binding or repairing;
